Vacation!

So if you haven't heard, I'm going on vacation! Kev and I (and my mom!) will be heading to Italy for a whole week to visit my family and of course see the sights. It's been 2 years since I've been back to the mother land and I am so excited! I can't wait to see my family and Kevin will finally get to meet my Nonna and try her famous home made pasta.

I'm definitely starting to get nervous about leaving the store for a week but as long I'm able to check my email a few times while I'm there I think it will be okay.

This is also my last week at the Big B! The steady paycheck has been nice but I am looking forward to being able to focus all of my attention on the store.

What does this mean for you- my dear customers? The store will be closed until 4/9, re-opening on 4/10. AND, starting on 4/10 we will have new spring/summer hours:

Tues-Sat: 11a-7p
Sun: 12p-5p

Check the blog when I get back to see pics of the trip!

See you in April!

I'm sorry I yelled at you interenet

So I don't know what happened but the shopping site is working and I am so pleased with how it looks! It's still not perfect and I can't wait to be able to pay a professional web developer; But for someone who has little to no web development knowledge I think I did a pretty dang good job!

If you haven't been to the new space, definitely check out the web store to see all of our amazing new products!

**GO SHOP NOW**

I'm mad at the internet

I finally finished everything on the shopping site and just when I'm feeling good about it, I go to turn on the shopping cart and everything gets messed up! Dang! I really thought I was going to be done tonight but I guess I have some more work to do tomorrow...Yikes!

Don't forget about the Subsixstudios sale!

I'm so excited to be hanging out with Kacey for the day! We'll actually be able to chat in person instead of online or on the phone like we usually do. Plus we'll be looking over all of the vendor submissions for the Queen City Craft Bazaar and deciding who will be participating. So if you're planning on applying you better do it before Saturday!

It's been almost a week

since my last post... And a lot has been going on since then.

We are still accepting applications for the Queen City Craft Bazaar. But there's only one week left so all you potential vendors out there get your applications in before next Friday 3/23. Seven Days has generously decided to be our Media Sponsor for the event which is great news and Viva Espresso will be on hand that day selling yummy coffee and pastries.

If you're looking for something to do tonight, head on down to Studio STK to see the ladies of the Burlington Craft Mafia showing off their spring designs. There will be a cash bar, live music, and some of the best crafters in VT. They're calling for 10-20 inches of snow between tonight and tomorrow morning but I really hope it doesn't start until after the event is over. They already had to postpone it once because of snow and I would hate for them to have to postpone it again!

Next Saturday, 3/24, stop by the store between 10a-4p to check out the Subsixstudios jewelry sale. Kacey will be at the shop so you can meet the lady behind the jewelry.

Also, I'm going on vacation! Which is great for me but bad for you since I have to close the shop while I'm gone. The store will be closed from 3/30-4/9 and re-open full time on 4/10. I'm excited to get away but also nervous about leaving the store. More about that later...

Anyway- Hope to see you at Studio STK!

Prairie Days

So I know that the weather is going to be bad tomorrow but hopefully it will die down by tomorrow night. That way you can come by the shop and join us for the opening reception of "Prairie Days"; new work by Beacon, NY artist Lorri Lagerbloom.

Lorri Lagerbloom Opening Poster

The opening is from 5p-9p and we'll have some refreshments for you to enjoy while taking in all of Lorri's awesome work.

Hope you can make it!
