New Stuff!

New tops from 57 Giraffes are here! I'll take some pics today and hopefully post them to the shopping site next week. I'll also be adding new yarn and felted rings from Miss Hawklet and some crocheted bags from Urban Farmgirl...

In QCCB news, I dropped off our banner to have it put up in front of Union Station and tomorrow I'll be photocopying more flyers to put up around town. And I still have to finish making my own goodies plus figure out how I'm going to set up my booth. But I have finally figured out where to put all the vendors. Which was very hard let me tell you because I don't want to make anyone upset with their spot. Honestly though, I really don't think there is a "bad" spot in Union Station.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

SUN!

It's finally sunny in VT! This weekend was gorgeous and today is also nice but I did hear a nasty rumor that it's going to be in the 50's for the rest of the week. We can't seem to catch a break...

Before it gets too warm though I need to get an air conditioner up to the store. Between 3p-6p it's like a sauna in there with the sun beating down through the floor to ceiling windows. I had a fan in one of the windows this weekend but let me tell you it was still H-O-T-T in there.

Isn't it funny how people shop in packs? This weekend everyone was buying bags- lots and lots of bags. So many bags that there is now a noticeable lack of bags in the shop. No worries though, more bags are on the way...

Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely day!

Joanne Kalisz Belt Sale

All Joanne Kalisz belts are 20% off starting today thru next Thurs. 4/26! They're reversible and a great addition to any spring wardrobe. Trust me- they're cute!

Plus I'm expecting a shipment from 57 Giraffes any day now. Jessica is a bay area designer and I can't wait to see all the awesomeness that's coming our way.

Also, there is going to be a new jewelry designer in the store! I first saw Art School Dropout at Renegade last summer and immediately loved Jessee's stuff. It's completely different from anything that's currently in the shop and she uses a lot of flowers and bright colors perfect for summer.

In other news, just to let you all know- there is going to be a lot of wedding talk on this here blog for the next year and half. That being said, Kev and I have started looking at reception sites. It is EXPENSIVE to have a wedding. I knew it was going to cost us a bit of money but my goodness I had NO idea what I was in for. Did you know that the average wedding in the US costs $25,000??? Well neither did I! If anyone has had a wedding in VT and knows of any unique reception sites please let me know!

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th!

So tomorrow is Friday the 13th, that's April 13th and yes it is snowing. It's mid April and they're calling for 3-7 inches of snow. I can't take it anymore- I need the SUN!

In store news, I'll be putting out a bunch of new clothing from Brooklyn based Mignonette today so be sure to stop by and check out the cuteness.

AND, my sister is coming to visit and she'll be spending Friday at the store with me looking at bridal magazines. I can't wait to go dress shopping!

I'm back!

And I'm engaged! Yup- Kev popped the question in Italia. It was so perfect and I'm so excited!

This is where he proposed:

Italia April 2007

It's the Fontana Maggiore in Perugia. It was a beautiful day and it couldn't have been better.

The whole week was awesome and Kev loved Italy. It was great seeing my family but it was so sad to leave. A week is not enough time when you only see your family every few years.

But I'm glad to be back and ready to be in the store full time. I'm expecting new Spring/Summer items from two new designers this week so stop by and check them out later on in the week.

There are of course many more pictures on my Flickr page. So go take a look!
